While spring weather and pretty floral dresses pretty much have the decorations covered, it’s always more fun to jazz up your space before having tea time.
Whether your tea will be an indoor affair or an outdoor soiree, paper garlands are the perfect way to jazz up the atmosphere! Bonus! They are super easy to make. Just grab a garland kit from your local craft store or check out these awesome DIY Instructions: http://www.hgtv.com/design/make-and-celebrate/entertaining/make-your-own-tissue-paper-tassel-garland
Floral touches are also a sophisticated and fun way to dress up your tea party! Take your FabGirl to your local supermarket and help her pick out her favorite bunch of flowers! Then have her help you cut the stems and pop them in a Mason Jar for an easy and fun centerpiece. Now that you have decorations covered it’s time to think about everyone’s favorite part of tea time… the food!
We love serving Iced Tea at our Tea Time! It’s easy to make, FabGirls love it, and we don’t have to worry about anyone burning themselves. Our favorite is this Perfect Peach Iced Tea from the Minimalist Baker http://minimalistbaker.com/perfect-peach-iced-tea/
It’s also great to have the perfect mix of fun and healthy! For our Tea Time we opted for baking Apple Pie Muffins with Greek Yogurt http://www.chelseasmessyapron.com/healthy-apple-muffins-with-greek-yogurt/. Get your FabGirl involved by having her do the mixing and the pouring while you bake your favorite healthy treat!

Of course, no tea time is complete without some fun tea time activities! Here are our favorites:
Tea Time Treasure Hunt! All you’ll need for this activity are some paper cups or fake flowers. A lot like an Easter Egg Hunt, hide the flowers or cups around your house or backyard and get your guests moving by searching for them! Once all the cups or flowers have been found reward each participant with a small prize they can take home (like wrapped baked goods or dollar store craft supplies). For older FabGirls, set up the tea time treasure hunt more like a scavenger hunt by giving your guests a series of clues. Have the girls work together to see how fast they can find all the flowers!
“Candy” Scramble! Always a party favorite! Lay down treats outside, grab some music and gather your guests! When the music is playing instruct guests to grab as many treats as they can but as soon as the music stops they have to too! Make this game a little bit healthier by replacing candy with healthy treats like fruit leathers and granola bars!
Do Something Craf-Tea! It’s always fun to keep your guests busy with arts and crafts! Check out some of our DIY Ideas here: http://blog.fabkids.com/category/food-and-fun/crafts-diy/. We especially love the Fairy Princess Headband for Tea Time!
