If you’re living in a place that has four seasons, then you’re probably getting sick of sweaters and snow boots. I know I am! No worries though. Winter will be over very soon and we have some adorable and mom-appropriate fashion trends to look forward to this spring!
Shirt dresses are going to be popping up all over the place this spring. (This year they were seen on the runways with high-slits, but that’s not always the best look for a mom!) You might even alreadyhave a shirt dress in your closet. The great thing about this style of dress is that they are ulta-flattering. Find one in a cut that hits right above or slightly higher than your knee. Style tip: Shirt dresses easily transition from day to night. Wear it during the day with leggings and flats for chasing the kids around. Come night, ditch the leggings and flats and add a fun wedge shoe and a little jewelry.
Spring is always the time for adding more color into your outfits and yellow is going to be big for 2015. Don’t think yellow is your color? Think again! There are so many shades of yellow out there – everything from canary to amber to chartreuse. Finding one that looks best with your skin tone is the trick! Style tip: Not quite ready for that bold yellow dress? Try incorporating a little yellow into your outfit with your accessories.
This classic checked pattern is always so perfect for warmer temps and it is going to be the print for this spring. So many designers used this print in everything from two-piece sets to shirt dresses. Go classic with black and white or pick up the print in a color. Style tip: A great print should be a favorite for any mom. Prints always appear cleaner than a light-colored solid…and we all know how messy motherhood can be!
