How To Transition Your Summer Wardrobe Into Fall

September 22, 2014

It’s time to break out the fall wardrobe already! We are heading into the cool breezes that the lovely fall air brings. That means it’s time to pack away all of our summers best and replace them with a few warmer pieces. Here are a few of my go-to fall outfits.

  1. This cowl neck sweater is both chic and sophisticated but more importantly it offers a relaxed fit that will make getting through your busy day as a mom a little more comfortable. Pair it with your favorite jeans and complete the look with a pair of leopard print D’orsay flats.
  2. There are so many possibilities to dressing up a boring old t-shirt. I added a floral scarf in a mixture of fall colors. I’ve paired it with a black flat but if you wanted to add more interest and dimension to the look, swap out the black flats for the leopard flats. Current fashion is all about mixing interesting and unexpected colors and patterns together.
  3. Here we have another chic and sophisticated look that is so simple to pull together. You might already have a few of these items in your closet. Simply add a great cardigan and statement necklace and you will be off to a perfectly fashionable fall!
  4. The Chambray dress is still spot on trend and another great look for fall. I’ve added a pair of booties to this look but you could also wear it with flats, riding boots or even canvas shoes. All of which would make for the perfect casual and comfortable outfit.

Transitioning into the autumn months doesn’t have to be difficult or expensive. By simply having a few of these basic wardrobe staples you can easily put together some fashionable looks that are still quite comfortable. A great pair of jeans, some fashionable flats and a few fabulous statement jewelry pieces is all you need to start the season in style.

What are some of your favorite fall wardrobe pieces?
