Trend Report: Painterly Prints

May 10, 2014

One of our favorite trends for Spring 2014 is all about creativity and imagination- the painterly prints trend combines fashion and art. This trend features brushstroke, splatter paint, and bright pattern prints for pretty-as-a-picture fashion.

In our May collections, Color Crush and Troublemaker, we’ve translated this trend in a FabKids friendly way. Your little artist can show off his or her creative side in some of our FabFavorites this month.

For our girls collection, we used bold colors and textured patterns for a fashion forward yet sweet look. Our bright painted dots print is featured in our Color Fun Tutu Dress and Painted Dots Legging.

The girly yet bold tutu dress is perfect for any little fashionista and is easy-to-wear. Your FabGirl will have so much fun in the sleeveless racerback dress, which can be paired with many FabKids leggings, such as the bright pink Fab Soft Legging, or for those long summer days, with the Playground Short.

Looking to add some fun and color to her outfit? With our super soft legging any outfit can be transformed from simple to a work of art! We’ve paired them with our Knit Denim Dress in our Denim & Dots Outfit.

Our painted brushstroke-inspired print is featured in our High Waisted Skirt and Bow Back Peplum Top. This print features softer colors and textured lines for a watercolor feel that is fun and chic.

For our boys collection, we used playful splatter paint details on our graphic tees for a fun and bold interpretation to this trend. Your little troublemaker will love our easy-to-wear OMG Drip Stripe Tee and Sporty Hooded Tee.

We’ve combined sporty and artsy with our hooded tee, which features #12 splatter paint graphic and bright blue hood. Our OMG tee will be a summer staple. This stripe tee features splatter paint graphic at top and fun OMG graphic.

Check out our new our Color Crush and Troublemaker collections and have your imagination run wild! With summer approaching it’s the perfect time to creative and have some fun. Which outfit from our May collection is your favorite? Please comment below!
